Life isn't over

Relationship with loss is not something that many coaches address. After losing my mother, Dr. Loretta took me by the hand, listened with her head and heart, validated my emotions, opened my eyes to what a healthy grief journey looks like, and walked out my grief with me, one-on-one. It is really apparent that she has a background in pastoral counseling with how she approached me with compassion and empathy. Now, I am no longer afraid of my grief, and I no longer ignore my grief, but am embracing healing and life after loss.

The Force Behind elevating her

Dr. Loretta Shields has been a women’s empowerment coach with over 15 years of experience guiding women of faith toward clarity, healing, and purposeful growth. With more than 25 years in church leadership and over a decade in academia, she brings a unique blend of spiritual insight and practical wisdom to her work.

She holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health, with a focus on relationship health and overall well-being, as well as a Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Counseling. Her approach integrates psychology, counseling, and faith to support women holistically—emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and relationally.

Through the ElevateHER Institute, Dr. Shields walks alongside women with compassion and intention, while also challenging them to do the deeper inner and relational work required to live healthy, love well, and lead with strength and alignment.
